A Tummy Tuck For Three Situations

A tummy tuck is a cosmetic procedure that addresses the issues of skin and shape in the abdomen area. Three of the common situations that people experience that often are the underlying causes of curiosity about the surgery are post-pregnancy body issues, significant weight loss, and genetics.

Pregnancy and the affiliated physical and hormonal changes take a toll on a woman’s body, and some of the physical wear on the body is irreparable without surgery, and while pregnancy and the changes in your body are part of life as it is intended, if you are sincerely unhappy with your body, cosmetic surgery is a common consideration. Having several children, undergoing cesarean sections, and higher order multiple pregnancies all lend themselves to changing the appearance of the tummy, and even with avid exercise and dedication to overall health, the belly just usually does not return to its exact pre-pregnancy appearance. This is a motivation for several of the women who find themselves considering cosmetic intervention. Consider, however, the possibility of subsequent pregnancies before moving forward with the decision to have the surgery. It is also recommended that you be within ten percent of your healthy weight range before you move forward with a tummy tuck as significant weight loss will negate the positive effects of the operation.

Whether you have lost weight due to pregnancy or whether you have just made great strides in taking control of your health, you may find that some things just cannot be “lost” with plain old weight loss. It is also very disheartening to win a battle with obesity only to be faced with a new set of emotional effects that accompany lose and sagging skin. No amount of exercise and not even an extreme, trendy, or expensive weight loss product can address the skin that is left behind after a huge weight loss success, and the psychological effects of this conundrum are often enough for a patient to discontinue with healthy choices.

Lastly, genetics sometimes just deals bad cards, and you have to live with the shape you have unless you want to approach the situation with a procedure such as a tummy tuck, though you should consult thoroughly with your physician about this possibility because even if you are set on addressing the situation with a cosmetic surgery, you need to make sure that you are seeking the right procedure for your situation. A lot of clients make the mistake of thinking that a tummy tuck addressed fat, but in this situation, it is likely that the client is seeking results more skin to those of liposuction, and although sometimes these procedures are administered conjunctively, sometimes lipo alone is the solution.
